The Har Ki Doon trek is a popular trekking destination located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. It is known for its pristine beauty, breathtaking views, and the cultural significance it holds.
The trek takes you to the scenic Har Ki Doon valley, which is nestled in the lap of the majestic Himalayas. The valley is believed to be the mythical Swargarohini, the path taken by the Pandavas in the Hindu epic, Mahabharata, to ascend to heaven.
Day 1: Pickup from Manali at 10 am and drive to Jobra by taxi (22 km). Trek to Cheeka camp on the same day (3 km, 1/2 hours, 3,078 meters).
Day 2: Trek from Cheeka camp to Balu ka Gera (8 km, 4/5 hours, 3,783 meters).
Day 3: Trek from Balu ka Gera to Shea Goru camp via Hampta Pass (12 km, 6/7 hours, 4,310 meters, descending to 3,735 meters).
Day 4: Trek from Shea Goru camp to Chatru camp (5 km, 3/4 hours). Same day, drive to Chandratal Lake (4,300 meters) and return to Chatru camp (156 km, 5/6 hours).
Day 5: Trek from Chatru camp to Manali via Atal Tunnel (4,114 meters) (140 km). Reach Manali by 2 pm.
